I wonder if her effort is aimed at Hillary as much as at Trump. Hillary's the one who is going to pay dearly if the recount does happen. And Stein's no admirer of Hillary. She may be trying to undermine both major parties with one strike.
Jill Stein has called for a recount and is trying to raise money for it. Her logic is that there is question about the results and Americans deserve to know their election systems were not rigged. Trump himself claimed it was rigged, so let's get on with the recount just for our peace of mind.
A recount isn't going to change the fact that Hillary conceded and Trump will be president no matter how a recount turns out. However, this isn't going to be the last election in the USA and we need to know if, in fact, our election was tampered with and rigged in Trump's favor so we can fix things so it won't happen again. If the tables were turned and Trump won the popular vote but not the electoral college he and his fan club would be screaming their heads off for a recount. Anyone who denies that is lying.

Maybe we should get rid of the electoral college. Some say it's outdated.

It's a fairly easy fix and some states have already taken steps to do that by passing a law that their electoral votes must be cast proportional to the popular vote, not winner takes all. If enough states do it, then it will become a federal law that will apply to all states. I don't know why everyone wouldn't get behind this. To completely do away with the electoral college would require the Constitution to be changed which is a much higher bar and probably would never get done.
Jill Stein is scamming the Alt-Left who is stupid enough to fall for it.
If you point this out, they will lash out at Trump, ahem...it really isn't an enigma to figure this out...lol.
It is obvious that there is ZERO discrepancy between counties using paper and electronic ballots unless you are daft and don't understand basic realities like Philadelphia County has different voter demographics than Adams County.
A recount will not overturn any of Trumps leads let alone 3 states.
She's got 232 electoral votes, she would need all three states to be overturned to win the election, or at least two of the states to be overturned to drop Trump below 270. With a republican house, the GOP would still very likely choose Trump. This is not serving to help an already very contentious election, many votes were to prevent the other from getting in so neither candidate was widely popular. At some point we have to accept the result and move on.

you think Democrats would want big California 55 electoral votes and New York 29 electoral that they have a lock for a long time to be proportional? NOOOOOO!
this is not a fairly easy fix.....because to change state laws on the electorate you need a super majority in the state legislature and in order to work like you plan, ALL 50 states have to be proportional and that is not going to happen.

Pennsylvania Republicans tried to do that for their state and the democrats screamed bloody murder.
How did that work out for them?
The Democrats if they believe this can start first with New York and California to show good faith for this belief and then the GOP can follow suit.
