How long do you think lines are? Good grief, as long as I have been voting, back in San Diego and here in Ohio, I have never had to wait in a long line to vote. Maybe a few people ahead of me, and that's it.
You don't think the people running the polls where those lines are short, wouldn't recognize you getting back in line and voting again?

Let me guess, you are unemployed so you vote at like 10 when everyone else is working? I've worked the polls for the last 3 elections & the lines are crazy.
All that is going to do is shrink the number of voters.
Approximately 90% of eligible voters would already have ID, that percentage rises among people that are already registered to vote. Most people that do not have ID should be able to obtain a free one relatively easy, people that would have difficulty getting one because of issues like a birth certificate are going to be very small minority.
Fraudulent voting is more likely to happen on the collecting side rather than on the voter side. The chances that someone is going to wait in a long line just to cast an illegal vote is extremely rare and a waste of time. So do what you want in your state, but don't ever think about taking away mail in voting in my state.
Firstly you cannot positively identify fraud without first identifying the voter. That applies to form of voting. Secondly when 63 people that are part of a government investigation can walk into a polling place and 61 of them are successful in voting using the name of someone that is ineligible to vote we have a problem.

Trump is setting the stage for 2020 - the man is far from stupid. He knows that if he can further de-legitimize the American election process here in 2016, he's got a good chance of stealing a second term. If he loses in 2020 in a close race, he will whip up populist fury against a "rigged" election. By that time he may have softened up enough judges and stacked the SCOTUS with enough partisans to be able to pull it off.

SCOTUS has already ruled on voter ID as being Constitutional, any court battles will be fought at the state level.
All I know is when 61 of 63 people can vote using the names of ineligible voters the potential for fraud is enormous.
Voting by mail is a recipe for fraud. It shouldn't be allowed. I'm sure it was a Democrat idea.
And yet we have no issue of voting fraud in Oregon and have a high participation rate, go figure.

It doesn't matter how long the lines are to me, I have a two week window to cast my ballot and I am able to do it on my schedule rather than on a specific day during my busy schedule.
