And this is not all of sudden. It's been that way since the year one.

In this particular case, there are some powerful human beings in the United States who are in rivalry for power with powerful human beings in Russia.

They hate each other. It's personal, human being to human being.

Ideologies and all that crap are just smokescreens.

Perhaps, but it is those "smokescreens", and all that crap that more often than not, form the basis for the personal human to human hatred.

Regardless of the ideologies behind the personna, the one constant amongst those in "power" is the ego stroke that comes with more power, and more money. It is the common bond between a communist, a capitalist, and any other "ists" you can imagine.......

Trump is well aware of this. IMHO, he's setting up a system that will "do business", and set aside all that other crap you speak of. Let everyone have their "ideologies", and plenty of space to enjoy them in.

If we're all otherwise "prosperous" in our own way, and don't have to war with each other about it, so much the better.

O and hillary embraced russia and Putin, pulled promise to Poland to install missles to please putin, rest relations with russia using a red plastic button. O defended russia in a debate with Mitt.

The left has been in an intimate embrace with russia.

Where were the repubs who are now crying Trump will be foooled by Putin when we have seen obama and hillary have their lunch eaten by putin.

hillary gave russia and other foreign agents a passcode to her emails and our national security despite warnings from federal agencies.

Wonder what o was referring to when he sent a message to putin re having more lattitude after the election.

Now that dems are tryiong to delegitimize trump's election they suddenly turn on their good friends, the russians.

Too bad hillary wasn't awake when obama told us no one could rig US elections

"Obama: Trump’s Rigged Election Concerns ‘Ridiculous’ "

"Obama: Trump's rigged election claim 'whining before the game's even over'"

"Obama said there was "no serious" person who would suggest it was possible to rig American elections, adding, "I'd invite Mr. Trump to stop whining and go try to make his case to get votes.""

Yet I seem to recall many righties getting the vapors when Obama quashed the planned missile defense installations in Poland and the Czech Republic to appease Russia. Not to mention the hand wringing over Obama telling Medyedev that he would have more flexibility after the 2012 elections.

Even more recently I have seen it suggested that Romney has been vindicated by recent events in his 2012 assessment as Russia being our biggest geopolitical foe.

Russia has been our enemy since the end of the second world war now all of a sudden the right views this enemy as a friend? I think Putin is playing America for suckers especially Trump supporters.
It is pretty obvious that Putin likes Trump because he is easy to manipulate, and he wants the sanctions lifted. He is aware that flattery will get you everywhere with Trump. Tillerson (if he gets confirmed, and that is not a given) also has a reason to have the sanctions lifted--Exxon will make a killing.

The others, like Trump the businessperson and Manafort know that the Russian oligarchy has lots of money and that is what they like because they make money off of them.

Nothing will change the fact that Putin censors news with his state run news agencies, spies and hacks Russians as well as Europeans and Americans, and has opposition and journalists thrown in prison or murdered.

Honestly, if this is the kind of 'strong' authoritarian leader that appeals to the alt-right and that's what they think we should have here, then I think they are pathetic.

You're kidding, right?

Do you seriously not understand that Putin is much worse that many previous Russian heads of state? And do you seriously not understand that any major influencing of the election would be very perturbing?

Yes, and that's why I've said that it is time for America -- including the right -- to get over its Cold War mentality when it comes to Russia.

What has Russia done to you that makes you think Russia is your enemy?

Nothing I stated was about me. Why are you attempting to deflect the discussion?
