Not to mention all the weird publicity he had dropping F bombs, falling asleep, and being overly "touchy" around women as VP. The media did all they could to censor it, and in the end he was making publicity runs to Dunkin' Donuts and WalMart.
I like Joe's personality, but he's not running for President. Dems need to get their heads out of their a**es and find a real candidate to run.
except for the falling asleep bit...sounds like Trump. We dont need a candidate like that.
Actually most modern Dems would have been Republicans then...the GOP was the liberal party of the 1860s.
The parties have changed since then.
You don't honestly believe that the likes of George Wallace, Bull Connor, Strom Thurmond, the slaveholders, etc were liberals, do you?
"Liberal" in the 1860's had an entirely different meaning. A true "liberal" is one who believes in freedom and Liberty. "liberal" comes from liber: free, or Greek eleutheros: free.
Those who believe in freedom and liberty today call themselves, "classical liberals." I am a classical liberal.
I wouldn't bet my house on it per se but I don't feel she's really hung it up yet and she is still prominently appearing all over the media and her supporters keep reminding us that she SHOULD have won but was cheated.
Her chances of running again are around 1% even if she really wants to run again. In 2016, she had both the President and DNC superdelegates all in her corner. In 2020, she won't have any of that, especially if Biden decides to run. It would be hard to imagine a scenario where Obama doesn't stump for his own Vice President.
Trump easily had the smallest margin of victory in the 20th Century. You have to go all the way back to the election of 1880 to find a smaller margin, and that was back before women were allowed to vote. Considering the trend of population loss/growth in PA (rural areas shrinking, Philly and burbs growing), I'm not sure how you think Trump would hand anyone their lunch.
All the poles said Hillary would win in a landslide also. When you are again shocked in 2020, you can say I told you so.
You're also counting on people voting for Trump a second time. With all of these tariffs, Betsy Devos drama and the constant stupidity that comes out of his mouth, I'd bet that a lot of centrists or more "left-leaning" Republicans won't vote for him again.
There's quite a few people (myself included) that gave him the benefit of the doubt once he was elected. Within a few months though, any hope that he would change his tone vanished.
Then of course, who knows if he will run (especially if the Russia scandal runs its course and he is found to be involved) or even win primaries.

A lot of people who voted for Trump won't be around to vote for him a second time. With each passing year, his core base of voters shrinks, especially in the Rust Belt.
