I noticed that yesterday that no Blue or Red Wave took place. What gives? Why were these progressives and conservatives kissing butt, jumping for joy over a total takeover which did not occur. Since no Blue or Red Wave took place. I hope those that can be work towards bipartisanship and try to work together instead of virtue signaling in the name of identity politics.
No, the dems/repubs agree on military expansion, financial deregulation, and private control of insurance.
The MSM just won't report on it.
The midterm yesterday was just same ole same ole, and nothing more. You had a couple identity political nut jobs here and their like Ocasio. However it's just same ole, same ole. Business as usual.
I fully expect this from the Democrats. I also expect that they will pay a deep price come 2020 should they choose the "investigate, not legislate" route for the next two years.
To my many Republican friends, we know how you are feeling today. Believe me. You are in the denial phase. Soon enough, too soon, you are going to realize that the Trump revolution has ended, that you drove off the women and the minorities along the way that are needed to govern. You get to keep your judicial appointments and that is all. Everything else disappeared in the wave last night. And the really awful part: this is just beginning.
For the last year we have heard a blue wave or tsunami wave was clear and coming. It never happened. The biggest seat loss in the house was by Obama in 2010 with 63 seats. Second was 94 Clinton with 52 seats. This is just normal politics. There was no wave at all. The Senate has gained for the Republicans. Its even bigger than many realize because many never trumpers have been replaced with good republicans and remember that now trump does not relay on flaky flake to get SC or Federal judges put in. We can change the face of the courts for a generation.
Exactly correct. As first-term presidents go, this was below average for losses. I believe the average is 33 seats? We still don't know what the final count is. Even if the Dems end up flipping 40 seats it's not that tsunami, especially if the Senate ends up +4-5-6 plus the battleground states Governors seats all going R.
It was a win for each side. Pretty much the way it's supposed to work.
