They've been at it all morning. You can sense the panic amongst the City-Data Trump supporters. They're in full melt-down mode behind closed doors, but they've been trying to puff their chests out all day today and celebrate losing the House as a victory. LOL!
Right. We were told that Kavanaugh getting confirmed meant total disaster for the Democrat party. That the "Fake News" didn't represent America and that the left had alienated their base.
Reality is that the Republicans no longer are unchecked. There were some big wins for the Democrat party yesterday (in CO and NY especially where there was a huge blue wave), along with IL and other states.

Republicans still have the senate, presidency, supreme court, and a vast majority of governorships
I fully expect this from the Democrats. I also expect that they will pay a deep price come 2020 should they choose the "investigate, not legislate" route for the next two years.
The entire Democratic party is in shambles. Simply put, there has to be more to their platform than just stopping Trump. It's weak sauce! Also the Dems have gone too extreme and it's obvious that they've lost the average American in the process. Was watching many vids last night and I agree that they need to pivot off the fringes and focus on hitting the ball down the fairway ie centralize their thinking. Will is upset the alt groups? Yes. But reconnecting with the average Joe is meal ticket that the Republicans are utilizing and guess what? It's working.
Only two more years away from the next election. If I'm the head of the Dems, I pull away from all this Trump hatred and focus on a platform revision that will win. Say what you want about Trump, but he ain't dumb. He's playing the Democratic party like a fiddle and the Dems are letting him get away with it. Don't take the bait and focus on putting a more popular message.
True and the Senate will continue to confirm originalists to the federal judiciary. Who knows, maybe President Trump will have the opportunity to nominate another Supreme Court Justice.

Dems had a nice victory but far from an overwhelming one. We will regroup and do better in 2020. Good thing we are not like Democrats who riot in the streets and get PTSD and need therapy after losing an election
LOL you may "regroup" all you want but you won't be doing any better. This is just the beginning, my friend. The opening salvo as they say!
For the last year we have heard a blue wave or tsunami wave was clear and coming. It never happened. The biggest seat loss in the house was by Obama in 2010 with 63 seats. Second was 94 Clinton with 52 seats. This is just normal politics. There was no wave at all. The Senate has gained for the Republicans. Its even bigger than many realize because many never trumpers have been replaced with good republicans and remember that now trump does not relay on flaky flake to get SC or Federal judges put in. We can change the face of the courts for a generation.
Correct, it was barely a ripple.
