I watch CNN and MSNBC and that's not the message I heard. Everyone seemed pretty sure that she would win and that it would be a huge upset if Espy did. He wasn't a great candidate. Doug Jones in AL was much stronger, and he barely beat the pedophile.

The public hanging comment and love for the confederacy are a feature, not a bug, for many in MS, the poorest state in the country.

As stated earlier, Hangings and Lynchings are two very different things.

Espy, is a crook, going back to the Bill Clinton days.

Huh? In Mississippi, something like that is probably an asset.

Nobody ever thought Espy had anything more than an outside chance at best.

Pubs...

Crowing about narrow Deep South wins by old whites over liberal blacks in FL, GA and MS like they're a strong affirmation.

Very amusing.

It's Mississippi for heaven's sake. The most racist, backward state in the country. They lived up to their reputation in the campaign and the vote. The vote was closer than expected though, so there could be signs of Mississippi entering the 20th century.

I remember when Alabama was backwards and racist and full of deplorables, then a Democrat won a Senate seat and it was cool
