Election Center 2008: Primary Results by County - Elections & Politics news from CNN.com

Look at some of these county results.

John King of CNN highlighted this "great swath of the US" - MI,PA,KY,IN,OH,WV ,parts of NY, parts of VA- in how similar they are demographically. And that the last dem/lib to win the WH had some of these states in play.

Is this supposed to be a surprise?

Everyone knew she would win Kentucky. Same demographics as West Virginia.

I don't think it's a "Key State" per say since Kentucky is a Red State meaning McCain will win it in November while as Oregon is a blue State. Obama will be near 1950 at the end of the week and will clinch the magic number needed come June 3rd.

It is NOT a key state and not a state that Hillary would have won in November anyway. Probably has more horses than people and really not much of anything else (except the Corvette Museum).

Wow. Is this supposed to be some sort of breaking news? We get it - every state that Hillary wins is a Key State.

One of just many arrogant, pompous and elitist statements to come from the Obama Kool Aide Club. I thought Obama and his followers were well educated? Last time I checked, Louisville (Kentucky's largest city) was the 16th largest city in the US. Not too shabby for a state with more horses than people.

What do you expect, they dont even know Louisville was a city and most of them couldnt find Kentucky on the map anyway. They are blind to think that Ky isnt important. Her blowout means allot because.... 60% of the entire state of Kentucky said they would vote for Hillary over McCain, only 31% said they would vote for Obama over McCain.

The dem voters are split pretty even, what the supers have to see is that head to head Hillary can beat McCain and Obama cannot. How many Hillary supporters will go over and vote for McCain is amazing.

Obama simply cannot win the general election, if he had blown Clinton out from start to finish maybe, but he cannot even win state that are very important for any dem to win the general election.

Where did you get that info from? Louisville has about 256,000 people which is not even the size of Wichita Kansas which is about 60th in population. The whole state of Kentucky has about 4 million people- about as many as the Atlanta metro!

We all know Louisville is a city but most of us do not wish to find it on a map. Except for Louisville Sluggers and Muhammed Ali, it has given the world little else. It is just a little nusance that you have to drive through to get to real cities like Chicago from down south. If you are lucky you might drive though it when they have their annual fireworks show and there is something there actually worth stopping to see. But neither it or Kentucky are of any importance to Obama. It is a red state and always will be.

Congrats to Hillary. She worked hard and deserves this very substantial win.

Not going to change the end result though. Obama will be the Democratic candidate (and likely the next President).
