That works both ways

This rally is packed to the gills. Good cross selection of music

Anyway here we go… trumps taking the stage.

Absolutely.
I was hoping the commitment to America had some good ideas on how to make things better.
I read through it carefully and couldn’t find anything of substance.
If there is a plan or any draft legislation, I’m all over it.
Good ideas can come from either party.

We Americans get a chance to see something closer to a functional and normal government as opposed to the chaos & dysfunction caused by the extremists and radical conspiracists of the MAGA movement which is led by a psychopath whose goal is to tear down our institutions, undermine our Constitution, and mock our foundational principles of democracy.

Yep, here is a sampling of what we Americans see when the Democratic Party is in the majority in the Senate & House and has a Democratic leader such as Biden in the Oval:

Inflation Reduction Act:

*Will bring down costs, reduce the deficit, and take aggressive action on climate – all paid for by making sure the largest corporations and billionaire tax cheats finally pay their fair share in taxes.
*Lowers health care costs for millions of families and allows Medicare to negotiate drug prices for the first time ever. Caps out-of-pocket spending for prescription drugs at $2,000 per year and ensures no senior citizen on Medicare will pay over $35 per month for insulin.
*Under the law, 13 million Americans, covered under the Affordable Care Act, will see their health insurance premiums reduced by $800.
*Takes aggressive action to combat the existential crisis of climate change. These are historic clean energy investments and will help families save hundreds of dollars every year on their energy bills while strengthening our country's energy security, creating jobs, and getting us closer to meeting climate goals.

President Biden promised to make the government work for working families again and that’s exactly what this law--- which is a massive alteration to climate change, health care and tax policy does but had no Republican votes.

Improved health care for veterans

*PACT Act – the largest single bill to address our service members’ exposure to burn pits and other toxins in American history.
*Signed several other bills he and the Democrats passed to honor and improve care for veterans.

The Democratic Party and President Biden for the past 2 years have worked to ensure we make good on our nation's sacred obligation to take care of our military and veterans. Had no Republican support.

*CHIPS and Science Act

*Accelerates semiconductor manufacturing in the United States.
*Helps lower the cost of everyday goods
* Strengthens American manufacturing and innovation,
*Creates good-paying jobs
* Bolsters our national security, by making us competitive with China by bringing manufacturing jobs back to America.

This law enacted by Democratic leadership in Congress and the White House makes historic investments in research and development to accelerate the industries of the future and advance U.S. technological leadership. Because pf the Biden Made In America strategy, the United States has created hundreds of thousands of new manufacturing jobs and American businesses are investing in new manufacturing lines across the country. Had no Republican votes.

Bipartisan Safer Communities Act
President Biden brought together Democrats and Republicans to pass the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, breaking a 30-year streak of federal inaction on gun violence legislation.
This legislation includes important steps to work toward decreasing gun violence, including requiring people under 21 to undergo enhanced background checks, closing the “boyfriend loophole,” and providing funding to address youth mental health.

President Biden launched a whole-of-government approach to make our communities safer and issued more executive orders to reduce gun violence in his first year than any other President at the same point in their administration.

Addressed gender-based violence:

Biden and the Democratic Congress broke through 2 years of Republican obstruction and signed legislation in to reauthorize and strengthen the Violence Against Women Act which was allowed to expire under the Trump administration. (Did you know that in 1994, then-Senator Biden authored the Violence Against Women Act which provided legal protection against domestic violence and sexual assault for 28 years until the Republicans and Donald Trump would not reauthorize it? ) So thanks to Democratic control in Congress and the White House the Violence Against Women Act is now reauthorized through 2027.

Passed the American Rescue Plan
*Helped get over 500 million shots in arms, distribute millions of therapeutics, and dramatically expand testing capabilities.
*Delivered needed relief to families by sending over 160 million checks to Americans, expanding food and rental assistance, and providing aid to thousands of small businesses. The expanded Child Tax Credit led to the largest-ever one-year decrease in childhood poverty in American history.
*Safely reopened America’s schools and made a historic investment to tackle learning loss and address mental health. Had no Republican votes.

Biggest year of job growth in American history

Passed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

*Thanks to President Biden in the White House and Democratic leadership and their majority in Congress we Americans are done talking about infrastructure week. Now, we are actually building an infrastructure decade.

This Infrastructure Law is a once-in-a-generation, transformational investment that will help create thousands of jobs and set America up to win the 21st century. In 2022 alone, repairs will begin on 65,000 miles of roads and 1,500 bridges. Had no Republican support.

*Billions in funding to repair bridges and roads
*Plan to replace every lead pipe in America
*Upgrade our ports and airports,
*Expand broadband access to all.
* Largest federal investment in public transit ever

Expanded Health Care to Millions of Americans

The Democratic Party of Congress and the White House expanded health care to millions of Americans.
After four years of endless attempts to strip health care from millions of Americans under Trump & the Republicans, the current administration took action to strengthen the Affordable Care Act by expanding eligibility and extending the open enrollment period.
They brought down costs and expanded health care access where millions of families on ACA plans are saving an average of $2,400 yearly on their premiums. Republicans only want to repeal the ACA. No plans. Just repeal.

We now do indeed see what happens when the Democrats control the House, the Senate and the Presidency. And those are good things for we the people and our grand American experiment of self rule. What the Republicans are offering America in these midterms are election deniers and radical forced birthers and an extremist Republican power-hungry movement pledging allegiance to a defeated and disgraced insurrectionist over allegiance to America.

so basically, nothing.

I hope moderate Dems & Independents have had enough of the poor leadership now in power, & will vote them out. There are not enough Pubs to do it.

I'm confident that the House will go Red, but no so confident about the Senate. The Senate will be a squeaker.

I'm, so ready for the results to arrive the night of November 8th. The total rule of the Uber Left Radicals who hate America is about to end.
It'll be businnes as usual after these mid-terms.

But I want blockage of the Joe and Dem agenda, for the most part.

Not all, but most part.

Elections are 1 month from today.

And democracy is on the ballot.

This year more than half of GOP candidates are Big Lie believers. This growing MAGA Republican movement in favor of a dictatorship will destroy America.

The Republican Party today is dominated, driven and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans who are radical conspiratorialists, religious zealots & political extremists. MAGA Republicans repeatedly threaten violence, mock our rule of law and menace our institutions if they lose an election or face opposition to their anti-democratic ideology. They fail the basic litmus test of democracy when they don’t think that Joe Biden legitimately won the 2020 election.

Donald Trump and the MAGA movement represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic. MAGA Republicans have destroyed the GOP, and the normal Republicans now see the steep price they and this nation will pay for the cowardice of their leaders who did not denounce Trump's psychopathy and autocracy when given the opportunity.

MAGA Trump's 2020 election Big Lie was preceded by mind numbing unchecked & massive democratic norm-breaking and culminated in a violent Jan 6 insurrection. His mendacious mantra that he should retain power over we the people's votes and our nation's legitimate election results were and are a direct danger to democracy. In fact, it is tyranny.

More than half of the GOP candidates are Big Lie believers and promoters. The Big Lie is belief in dictatorship. Democracy does not exist in a dictatorship. The survival of democracy is on the ballot in less than one month.

Don't be distracted.

The radical uber leftists agenda will be slowed to a crawl, and if the Pub retake both houses, much of the damage will be reversed.

It will be a breath of fresh air that will sweep across our land.

Will all the Pubs get everything they want right away...no. But, it will gain momentum, and things will improve slowly. Even with both Houses, it will take 3-4 months to see marked improvements.

27 days left...and counting down

I dont know anything about the Texas race, but I'll predict DeSantis by 7%.

My biggest question is who does Florida get after DeSantis?

I have not been following Senate races much, anyone out there have a feel for the Pubs chances?

26 days to go. I need a Red wave to boost my faith in the American people. I'll be watching moderate Dems & Indys the most, then blacks & latino's. These are the key groups. Pubs will vote pub, Dems will vote Dem (some may sit this one out though).

Turnout will favor pubs. There's no mass enthusiasm in the Dem part for this group of radical uber leftists....just tiny demographic pockets.

I suggest sending them this link, and asking them what they find objectionable to it:

https://www.republicanleader.gov/commitment/

The, ask them where the Democrat Committment to American is at so you can read it

You will not change their minds, but you may get them to start thinking a little more for themselves.
Im an Independent and you arent changing my mind either. Both parties are to blame for the condition of this country! Republican is no better than Democratic. The Democrats want to give everything away and the Republicans want to walk all over everyone. Useless groups! Then we have the financial rewards. It is no accident that many enter Congress as financially middle class and come out as multimillionaires. It isnt due to the salary they receive.
Both sides have their own talking points, their own ideology. It doesnt matter if its CNN or FOX. Most are not concerned about middle class. and they have no will to compromise.
Neither grp believes in the idea of a country, they only believe in their own way.
