Obama doesn't offer any solutions. Better yet he doesn't even offer how he's going to pay for the billions and billions he's going to spend.
Just so you know, Obama will increase the deficit to pay for his plans.
But McCain will increase the defict EVEN MORE!
the fact is both candidates' economic plans would fail to bring an end to deficit spending, and by that measure, McCain's is worse than Obama's. According to the TPC analysis, Obama's tax plan would increase the debt by $3.5 trillion by 2018, while McCain's plan would bring about a projected $5 trillion increase in the same time frame. The TPC also found that:
Tax Policy Center (Aug 28): Neither candidate’s plan would significantly increase economic growth unless offset by spending cuts or tax increases that the campaigns have not specified.
licy Center's estimates don't account for Obama's proposed spending cuts, including things like ending the Iraq war. But those cuts will not come close to balancing the budget, and Obama has avoided promising a balanced budget during his first term.
McCain, however, has said he will balance the budget by 2013. Experts remain skeptical. In early July,The New York Timesquoted Robert L. Bixby, executive director of the Concord Coalition— a bipartisan fiscal responsibility advocacy group — as saying the claim was "unlikely":
People tend to forget that just because the base is crazy about her, that does not add to chances of victory. They would have voted McCain anyway. It is ALL about independents.
True and even after Palin made her big smashing speech, independents are still going to Obama. Undecides were turned off by her negative sarcasm. They just want to believe so much that this woman is going to be a game changer. The only thing she does is keep the republicans from losing by an embarrasing landslide

You are funny. You HOPE independents are going to Obama and you HOPE undecided are turned off by her, but you have no proof of that, yet you get on this board and post as if it is fact. Post your proof, please. I think it is just the opposite. I think people are excited that finally here is someone who doesn't just TALK about change, she is ready to MAKE changes.
Brilliant pick. Palin appeals to and has excited the evangelical/conservative BASE, who will be firmly behind Mccain now. That leaves McCain to go after that great swath of swing voters; independents, mod dems and mod repub.
I dont hope, its happening LOL have you looked at the latest polls?
The latest polls do not include the bounce from the Republican convention. That was explained by 2 polling outfits last night. They said it would be midweek next week before that happens.

He has if you were paying attention and not only picking and choosing what you want to listen to! He said that he was going to cut federal programs that are not in use or aren't needed. That will free up plenty of money. Also, I don't understand how tax payers are O.K. with their money going into Iraq, but not interested in helping their economy get back on its feet. I really don't get that!
not having to spend billions a month in iraq will certainly pay for plenty of things at home. Perhaps new orleans will finally get the attention it deserved years ago.

Civilian army equal to the military 439 billion a year.
The wars 140 billion a year. then you have UHC that will have to be paid for.
And what exactly are the programs he wishes to cut?
