the fact is both candidates' economic plans would fail to bring an end to deficit spending, and by that measure, McCain's is worse than Obama's. According to the TPC analysis, Obama's tax plan would increase the debt by $3.5 trillion by 2018, while McCain's plan would bring about a projected $5 trillion increase in the same time frame. The TPC also found that:
Tax Policy Center (Aug 28): Neither candidate’s plan would significantly increase economic growth unless offset by spending cuts or tax increases that the campaigns have not specified.
licy Center's estimates don't account for Obama's proposed spending cuts, including things like ending the Iraq war. But those cuts will not come close to balancing the budget, and Obama has avoided promising a balanced budget during his first term.
McCain, however, has said he will balance the budget by 2013. Experts remain skeptical. In early July,The New York Times quoted Robert L. Bixby, executive director of the Concord Coalition— a bipartisan fiscal responsibility advocacy group — as saying the claim was "unlikely":

I don't give any credence to NY Times position papers like that quoting pieces of what they want ...to push their own point. Just like now the Washington Post barraging the public with anti McCain all the time. Sally Quinn the nasty queen of elitist snobbery. Condescending to the very Liberals she's supposed to endorse so much. OReilly had her so off message last night when she was forced to apologize for her remarks she actually called Romney GEORGE Romney lol. But she still insists no WOMAN with 5 kids can be VP. Liberal?

Anyway, I like the Concord Coalition site even though it was founded by ex Congresspeople.

They have a good list of what positions to compare when thinking about the two candidates on since 20% of the budget is war spending. With good explanations of each item on the list and what it means and why it's important.

He said that he would have to go through the federal budget line by line. Ofcourse only the president and treasurer know what those programs are. Obama and McCain are outsiders until they get into the office, so we won't know that until someone new is in office to go through it all! But it gives me comfort in knowing that it will get done.

It's a gamble he will lose. A majority of voting Americans are not that stupid, they will see through both his selection of someone almost supremely unqualified but also see through the bumbling rhetoric of the man himself, so woefully out of touch with this country. And for someone who kept saying "Czechoslovakia" repeatedly in speeches it shows his grasp of world events is seriously lacking.

The complete package of Palin/McCain is one of shocking ineptitude and, while this election will undoubtedly be close (thanks to people putting party over country) there is no way a majority think either of those two capable of assuming the office after 8 startling years of abuse, misconduct and criminal neglect under Bush.

McCain/Palin - Stick a fork in 'em

FUNNY
that is why Obama can not,as usual, find his own butt,
if he thought this deal were tied up,he would not be studdering
everytime he speaks,
this is just getting started.
If you think Obama who has done NOTHING except spend LESS than 200 days as a STATE SENATOR
and the REMAINDER of his time as US Senator running for president, will be elected, you have another thought coming.
OBAMA/BIDEN= DOWN FOR HE COUNT!!
but, please hang on to your fantasy
you folks out in OBAMA LA LA LAND are in for a rude awakeing, you and OPRAH.........what a HACK!
you are like the stupid liberal media, you are just sure the country follows your twisted line of thinking, WE DO NOT!!
Obama and his following are out of touch with voters
I have voted democrat all my life, do you think I am the only one??
