I don't think so.
Maybe you should actually READ the article to see who the economists REALLY prefer instead of just taking someones' word for the conclusions the magazine draws. It's not good news for McCain:

"AS THE financial crisis pushes the economy back to the top of voters’ concerns, Barack Obama is starting to open up a clear lead over John McCain in the opinion polls. But among those who study economics for a living, Mr Obama’s lead is much more commanding. A survey of academic economists by The Economist finds the majority—at times by overwhelming margins—believe Mr Obama has the superior economic plan, a firmer grasp of economics and will appoint better economic advisers."

I'm amused with CNN's attempt to present the topic. It's as if they want to expose something but don't want to use real words for fear of offending their viewers.

I used to watch CNN regularly but they've become cheap saps just drawing a paycheck and getting their mugs on TV. I think they're afraid of being accused of playing the race card .

Actually it's the Obamabashers on this board that remind ME of Baghdad Bob.

I did READ the article. It presents a differing opinion, which of course exists. The conclusions drawn in the article are based on the responses of only 142 plus maybe another handful of economists. The WHOLE story is that 530 economists endorse McCain's economic plan.

Must be the same 530 economists who endorse this:

Those 500+ economists have analyzed regulation's vs. prohibition's economic impact. That's what economists do - analyze policies' economic impacts. You should know that.

Economists have analyzed the economic impact of both Obama's and McCain's economic plans, and 530 economists have endorsed McCain's economic plan.

If voters' main concern is the economy, and for many people it is, McCain's economic plan is the clear winner.

Yes, it is very troubling. Thanks for the post Sanrene. Rep point coming.
