Romney seems the GOP's best bet right now. The only GOP senators that I'd consider are the two female senators from ME. Huckabee remains the favorite of the religious right who will try mightily to get him or Gingrich in the game, along with Palin as V-P. IMO, only Romney has a chance with all the voters at a national level, since the religious right is out of favor with the general electorate, and so are their sweethearts (Palin, Huckabee, Gingrich). Of course, Romney is out of favor with the religious right since he is a Mormon, even though the Mormons helped the religious right to gang up on California Prop 8 last year. Today's GOP is a mess befitting a byzantine soap opera.
I voted for Romney in the primaries of 2008 but now I'm more concerned with that healthcare mess in Massachusetts.
If Sarah palin is the best the Republicans can do, then Obama will win re-election by a landslide.
Depends if hyper-inflation sets in by then, if so Republics can win with a Rush-Sarah ticket and by a 80-20 margin.
