The Grand Old Party's 2012 presidential pool isn't looking so grand these days.

Add Nevada Sen. John Ensign's and South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford's extramarital affairs to Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal's unconvincing TV speech and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's family dramas, and the Republican presidential herd is thinning fast -- leaving many to wonder who will lead the party in its attempt to reclaim the White House.

Maybe Joe Wilson will be barking, I mean campaigning?

Don't forget the glorious, shining white knight out to save America from the horrors of communism: Glen Beck.

I don't think the GOP is focusing on 2012. They have way too much fun to look forward to this year and next.....spanking the Dems right out of office...

And of course way back in 2005 you knew that Barack Obama was going to be president, right?

Romney seems the GOP's best bet right now. The only GOP senators that I'd consider are the two female senators from ME. Huckabee remains the favorite of the religious right who will try mightily to get him or Gingrich in the game, along with Palin as V-P. IMO, only Romney has a chance with all the voters at a national level, since the religious right is out of favor with the general electorate, and so are their sweethearts (Palin, Huckabee, Gingrich). Of course, Romney is out of favor with the religious right since he is a Mormon, even though the Mormons helped the religious right to gang up on California Prop 8 last year. Today's GOP is a mess befitting a byzantine soap opera.

I would love to see Ron Paul run again. This time he needs to get tv spots as well not just radio.
