Looks like Specter is going down, or so I hope.

I'm glad to see old confused Arlen sent home but everyone thinks Sestak will be more difficult to beat.

So Sestak is the new Senator. Big whoop.

I agree that Arlen's departure is a salubrious high colonic for the body politic.

What a relief that the next news from Spitball will be on the obituary page.

Sestak's an extremely attractive candidate, with solid credentials. He is a left of center guy, but can hardly be accused of being "anti-American". Toomey will have a hard time beating this guy in November.

No, Sestak is not the new Senator. Arlen will serve until the Nov election - The new Senator will either be Sestak or Toomey.

This was a humiliating defeat once again for obama - he invested his time, prestige, he begged his "base" to vote for Specter, he campaigned for him, the Dem machine paid for his ads, Biden campaigned for him.

Obama is like 0-4 in campaigning for his fellow dems.

Why?

Sestak ran to the Left of Specter. Once the general is open to ALL voters, I think he will have a hard time beating Toomey.

Ummm....wrong. Officially, Obama had to be seen as endorsing Specter. But let's get real. I wouldn't be surprised if Obama is secretly celebrating Sestak's win. Sestak is the stronger general election candidate.

Obama ran to the left of McCain. In PA, among other places. How did that turn out for you?
