No it isn't! There are many English words in many other European languages too. This is only due to the very strong cultural, political influence of Anglosphere countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand) have on the world. English is the language of business, Internet, even the most well-known actors and actresses in the world are usually from those nations. Especially with Internet, English is even becoming much more influential than it has ever been. English has become the most successful of the Germanic languages in history. I don't think a Germanic language will ever reach the same level of influence in the world as English. Though it's started out as the language of mere Germanic farmers who lived in eastern Britain, 1500 years ago.
