It's their town/village.
That's how they want to live, it's their democratic choice, whether you like it or not, the kind of choice that the Nazi in Ukraine is not leaving to them.

What will happen next, ( as far as Russia goes,) remains to be seeing.
DKM is a great politician isn't he? with all the media I've read from the Donbas it's utterly pointless to even try to get them back due to the attitudes of the people. They will never forgive the Kiev junta for what they did. Not for a long long time.

I suspect he is a *great democrat* first of all.
As in "do what I told you to do or else," this is the ONLY way to the "Great Communist"... err.. sorry - "great European" future.

Not only that, but China was considered by Clinton's America as a more "docile and convenient option" for that, whereas Russia was supposed ( according to Clintons) to go only down and down, (to disintegrate and so on.)
AND to bring the whole picture up to a T, killing Russia off was killing "two rabbits with one bullet," because Russia was a unique potential market for European goods, that were historically wanted and appreciated in Russia. ( This, in turn, would prop European economy a great deal.)
Instead, Russia was flooded with Chinese-made junk, that was bringing dividends to American corporations yet again.

So speaking of "we love Europe.." as the tune on this forum often goes..

Nothing stopping them from moving to Russia. Inhabitants of a village can't chase away half the people and declare their right to change the country their village belongs to. It doesn't work that way. Putin knows this too.

So it was Clinton, not Bush Sr.
I was watching an old DVD a few nights ago, Thirteen Days.

Could be old memories die hard.

That's the point you are missing over and over again DKM.

What "half the people?"
What "right to change the country?"

This is how these people democratically voted back in 2014.
They were not asking for any "right to change the country."

So quit inventing your own "alternative truth."

Yes it was Clinton's America.
Covertly destroying Russia, hoping to push it down the slope and stealing Soviet ideas in the process for the "welfare reforms" in US. Turning China into America's "industrial base" and sitting on board of directors of the Wall-Mart.
It were all Clintons and their "neoliberal" policies.
And that 's why I keep on pointing at the "corporate democrats" ( today's "corporate democrats" including,) as a source of trouble. Even though they thought back then that their actions were going to bring America on top of the world.
But they miscalculated a number of things big time.
They still do.

*sigh* If they are asking for their village to "join Russia" that means changing the country that owns the village.

"What half the people"? yeah so innocently forgetting that all who used to live in Russian controlled territories and don't want to change their flag were chased out by your rotten heros. Terrorists from whatever churkastan you came from made their way in to Ukraine to terrorize and boot out the locals who didn't agree with your fake lame Russian "rebellion". Those remaining don't own all that land and even if they do, its still Ukraine's land and not theirs to decide which country owns it.

Nonstop you yammer on here hoping against all hope Russia will take them in. They will be lucky if Ukrainian artillery doesn't blow them all to bits like they deserve for being idiots. Much of it fired by Donbas people chased out by your heroi.

The people in the diplomatic corps, Pentagon, contractors, and think tanks who are advocating the policies usually have a financial interest in toppling a government and profiting from the aftermath. They jockey for lobbying and consulting positions in the new government and in the US companies seeking to profit from reconstruction and privatization.

lAdvocates of War Now Profit From Iraq’s Reconstruction

I recall reading that only 4 out of the 28 advisors in favor of the Iraq invasion didn't have a financial interest.

Remember there were political consultants in Russia who profited from helping to rig the 1996 election to get Yeltsin elected. They landed on the cover of Time magazine.
