All things being equal when it comes to governments and how the work in the long run some are bad and some are good, some are in between. My standard is simply how stable a country is. Do the people have the means go a decent life? Can they raise a family educate their children and have a decent life on their terms?
I think in Russia people can. That is what you get with good government so I say let Russia be Russia. If Russians decide they don't want their government they will do away with it.

Russians have a much harder time raising a family and having a decent life than do people in Europe. This is a problem not solved by Russian propaganda promoting Putin's system of government.

Yeah.
Russia has not yet recovered after Western advisers have been in charge here, who know "as it should".
But what words! "Propaganda" "Putin's management regime" "the life of Russians
But you described now those times when the West Dictated to Russia as it should. Now everything is different.

But why did Russia accept everything blindly that was "dictated" to them? Russia had a golden opportunity to study all the western countries, and take the best from each one. It's not as if there are no educated people in the country who could lead and participate in such an effort. Russia threw away this opportunity.
Russia threw away this opportunity after 10 dark years and the loss of part of the territory. And by the way, many of these territories are now experiencing the civil wars.

Not by what I have seen. I must ask you this, do you have any real world experience with Russia or do you just get your information from the western media?

I have first hand experience with this. Trying to pretend that Russia doesn't have BIG problems is something unique to Russians. Inferiority complex is cultural. If I only watched Russian media, I would think that Russia is doing great and better than anywhere on earth.
1st Rome did this a lot, and so did the 2nd Rome. It was only natural that the 3rd Rome would continue the tradition. And Putin's Russia wants to depict itself as the 4th Rome, so the cycle continues.
I've never heard of 4-th Rome. The theory "Moscow is 3-th Rome" has some historical and propaganda basis, but it is not popular at the moment.
