I don't beleive a damn thing the Brits say. I think it would be a good thing if the Russians offed this creature, traitors are a special breed of parasite. I also think it's even more likely this is just a staged event. Rock solid proof beyond a reasonable doubt or nothing ever happened.
The pattern is one of chemical weapons being confiscated and reportedly destroyed by UNSCOM or OPCW and then being used later where the US and UK can levy false claims of chemical attacks. US/UK intelligence are probably using these organizations to gain access to the chemical agents stockpiles so that they can be used in attacks. Their chemical fingerprints would be useful in forensics testing to support their claims.
It's clearly another case where the alleged perpetrator of the attack didn't stand to benefit. Motive for the attack is weak.
They're screaming bloody murder over E. Ghouta as they did with Aleppo. They seem to be in no hurry yet to evacuate. Aleppo dragged on for a long time before the terrorists caved and US/UK assets were allowed to leave by bus. There was a funny headline in the New York Times the other day. They put up a lead story on E. Ghouta rebel snipers pinning down civilians who were trying to leave, and then quickly changed the story.
Ukraine's army is also well schooled on how to find a land war. A defensive one at that. 50k? They need a million. Airmobile would need to penetrate an air defense that has been re positioned and ready. This includes not only hundreds of SA-13s and 9's but Buk M1s and S-300. You can't get airborne troops far if their plane is shot down. This doesn't even consider the fighter aircraft. Russia has always had trouble gaining air superiority in hostile territory when they are opposed. They can't do it, it would be a historic disaster.
It's called combined arms warefare. It's complicated, it happens fast and at long distances and is very interesting. Look into it. Your post reminds me of something Adolf Hitler once said. You assume a lot.
Ukraine's army isn't that big. You have to remember that they'll need at least 3x as many to maintain the rotation for a defense. There would have to be a lot of irregulars (Nazis) to blow up the numbers. In Syria, there were at least 500K that were brought in from outside the country.
Not to mention just how many outside of the fascist battalions would actually have an interest in taking a bullet for the Kiev Junta? Russias largely gotten away from a conscript type army, Ukraine depends on it and we know how reliable/able they were in 2014 and to date.
I don't see any point in discussing a military confrontation between Ukraine and Russia. That's funny. Ukraine is capable of guerrilla movement only.
