Were this the time of war I doubt there would even be the tail light of a truck on anywhere in the area let alone the landing strip lights. Why make your airbase a nice brightly lit target covered in pretty lights?

Russian pilots are crazy and damn good at what they do. They train for the real thing. The chopper pilots are even crazier.

Satellite crystal eye will find your airfield enywhere with navigation lights or not.
You're thinking like an officer during WWII.
The Russian-Georgian war proved the low combat effectiveness of this widow makers named "russian strategic bombers".

ISIS is down to a couple of hamlets in NE Syria

https://www.yahoo.com/news/syria-con...135625799.html

It eliminates the public rationale for both the US and Turkey to successively occupy NE Syria.

Don't hide your true colors comrade. Easy for you to say while safe and sound in the big bad USA. While millions starve and are denied their rights you parrot Putin propaganda from the safety of a society that protects you from him. Its all America's fault somehow that the entire free world says Maduro stole the election and doesn't have legitimate power in a country that his policies have ruined. I wonder how you rationalize your contradiction that US sanctions help Russia but harm Venezuela.

The Silk Road was replaced 200 years ago by these things called ships that go on water. People in central Asia are never going to have a better life until they throw off the shackles of oppression. China, Russia and their client despots will never allow that.

Syria continues advancing to reclaim its territory and eliminate ISIS in the former US deconfliction zone

The US is continuing to airlift some members of the ISIS units to the bitter end.

Ummm, that "advance" was in 2017. Got anything newer? Russian propaganda is known for inaccuracy but claiming we are airlifting out ISIS while fighting to remove them is a bit outlandish.

You are the one that are not thinking instead...

Satellite positioning huh?? How you assume that your satellites have been not taken out in case of war?? Hmm

Military pilots should be trained for the worst possible conditions.

The TU-22M is still a fine airplane for the missions is supposed to perform.
