The rebels are primarily mercenaries who previously fought under the CIA in other theaters, the foreign intelligence officers and special forces from governments in the US, Europe, and the Middle East, the foreign criminal element who were recruited by clerics working for European intelligence agencies, the locals who didn't or couldn't flee the war and took money to fight in these groups, and a small percentage who were in the Syrian military.

It was brought up in the British press that Al Qaeda doesn't really exist. It's a long list of mercenary fighters who served under the CIA and recruited by allied governments in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and other countries to fight against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan and against Yugoslavia. It was also outlined in the lawsuit brought against the government of Syria by the family of James Foley the "journalist" who was allegedly kidnapped and beheaded by ISIS. The lawsuit claims that the Syrian Al Qaeda militia was a Chechen mercenary unit which fought in the Georgian wars under the CIA and that ISIS had splintered from this militia in 2012. The Saudis were financing the war and demanded loyalty from the fighter in Al Qaeda. A group, that was financed by Qatar, broke off and became ISIS.

It's also been reported that foreign special forces and intelligence officers had joined ISIS.

French special forces joined ISIS

There are also British military officers also in White Helmets which is an adjunct group to Al Qaeda in Syria.

Anybody whose familiar with the TE Lawrence's Seven Pillars of Wisdom concerning the British-led Arab uprising against the Ottoman Empire would see that the same playbook is being employed. The radical Islam news is essentially a red herring. In order to fight a conventional military force, they have to have serious military experience that only professional military and ex-military mercenaries possess.

When the US is bombing ISIS, they have already extricated their own officers and their mercenaries. The people getting killed are primarily the locals who either joined ISIS or stayed behind as many fled. That's why one also saw the large return of criminals to Europe as ISIS was being defeated.

Al Qaeda in Iraq (HTS) attempted to stage another chemical attack false flag and mishandled the toxins.

link

In the past, there were military experts from Britain and other governments who were involved in overseeing the storing of the chemicals and mixing them into the end-stage chemical weapon.

Well I hope you all bought dollars before they cost over 70 rub today. If this oil war isn't short term, you're going to see problems soon. Natural gas prices are linked to Brent too so this is more pain coming down the pipe, pardon the pun.

The worlds awash in energy, it's flooded. I think everyone is going to feel the hit and Russia is better prepared than some others. They're saying that they can cover the deficit if oil dips to $25 a barrel for years. We'll see.

Sure they can cover their deficit but, 1) is this how they want to blow through their savings and 2) how will this affect investment going forward. State media isn't going to give an accurate picture... Putin is basically subsidizing global oil and gas exports with Russian cash reserves in order to hit foreign producers.

DKM, what's the point of cutting production if the market is saturated with shale gas from the United States at the current price? Russia don't want to lose profits in order to agree with OPEC and support American shale oil producers. The world is sliding into a global recession due to games with coronovirus. Putin probably decided that weakening ruble and global recession provide new opportunities for Russian economy.

Well what are savings for? Leverage is one of the uses of savings I know that all too well. How will it affect investment? People/business prefers to deal with entities that have their crap in one sock and have power.

When you manage your country in a sensible manner and demonstrate that you get respect.

It will also teach the thugs on the playground a lesson

Short translation: the chlorine tank leaked and terrorists escaped.

I hope the world leaders are smart enough not to give them serious weapons.

I heard that low prices do not plan to keep long. But how it all turns out is not known.
