I gotta say President Zelensky has some balls. He is still in Kyiv staying there with his people, while the Russians are running around with there disgusting mobile crematorium trying to find him.

Well, what I want to say, guys.. According to reports from the field the main phase of the special operation for the denazification of Ukraine is almost over. Almost the entire military infrastructure of Ukraine has been destroyed. Military airfields, air defense systems, radar stations, headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Air Force, Navy. The Ukrainian army, basically, either flees or surrenders. Some Nazis continue to resist, but they are simply destroyed. There is a lot of cleanup going on. So, as they say, the concert is over, everyone goes home.
The constitutions of the republics state that they exist within the territorial boundaries of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. I think this will be limited.
To be sure, western media is heavily censored and it is difficult to find any useful information from the field, but by the same token your assessment above appears too rosy.
I did read a snippet from Washington Post that Russian troops are closing in on Kiev, but still outside the city center (the rest of the article is pay-walled, screw them). Do you think the Ukraine president is really in a basement somewhere in Kiev and that Russian troops can flush him out of a hole, somewhat analogous to what US troops did to Saddam Hussein not too long ago?

Though I understand the geostrategic importance of the immediate northeast and the southern littoral, I was surprised by the breadth and depth of the military intervention. I initially thought it would be limited in scope, but obviously I’m not a military planner or commander.

So I’m wondering if Russian troops would “just go home” with respect to Kharkiv and the southern littoral, or, on the contrary perhaps they would stay a long time and perhaps even try to link up with Transnistria?
I saw some rogue video on YouTube claiming that NATO was about to attack Transnistria, but the images were just a bunch of stale photos and maybe some streaming from a video game, I’m not sure.

A little embellished, but very close to the truth. Such a map of military targets (ammunition depots, headquarters, air defense systems, airfields, etc.) is circulating on the Internet, which were hit by high-precision Kalibr missiles.

Nobody knows exactly where Zelensky is located. A bunch of rumors and speculation. According to some sources, he is in Kiev, according to other sources in France, according to third ones in Germany.

2. Southern direction - The RF Armed Forces retained control over the bridge across the Dnieper near Kherson, repelling counterattack attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The fighting in the area of the Antonovsky bridge continues.
New Kakhovka is also held. Melitopol was taken this morning and the advance began in the direction of Berdyansk.
3. Kharkov direction - fighting continues on the near approaches to Kharkov. Both sides suffer losses in men and equipment.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing a counterattack, declaring that another landing will be thrown out in the Gostomel area today. The Pentagon says that Kiev will fall in the coming days. After 10 o'clock, shooting was heard in the city. Also, according to the statement of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the landing was thrown to the west of Zhytomyr. During the Gulf wars, I rarely tuned into mass media, hearing or reading instead statements by US military officials.
Today, when US officials make statements like they expect Kiev to fall in a couple of days, it reinforces the impression that US policy makers view the Ukrainians as pawns in a bigger chess game.
