Since I was on the road for 3 months, I hadn't done the full body power workout that my fitness center provides. I tried to simulate it with resistance bands and body weight, but damn I'm sore this a.m. after doing two classes of abs and full body. I forgot how much these classes help - even though I've been doing a lot of running, strenuous biking, my legs are really sore as well.

It'll take several classes to get back into being fit.

Not even sure I'll be able to get in a light run this a.m. d/t soreness, but will try.

My quick jumping rope story from 3 yrs ago........

Jumping rope at the gym with a friend/PT. On a skip something whacks into the back of my leg and I go down. I turn around to a guy doing dumbbell curls next to me and apologize for hitting his dumbbell. My friend looks down at me and says I didn't hit anything. I knew.

Complete Achilles rupture. Surgery a few days later. Needless to say no more jumping rope for me.

Scenic Tampa Bay coastal 4 miles@8:23 miles/min. Hot, humid sauna-like conditions FL. Followed by a few resistance band reps, push ups, crunches in parking lot of my running route area. Feels good afterwards.

Ouch! Yeah, I did about ten minutes when my knee started to hurt. As much as I want to add variety to my workouts, I have to be smart.

Great job. And physical labor is the best workout. I busted through my plateau helping my mom move.

Anyway yesterday was a normal Tuesday did my usual cardio and weight workout. Weighted ab crunches. One thing exercise does is make me feel good about myself. I have ab definition now, you can see the muscles. This is a big deal because last year it was flab not abs. And this came from diligently working out. I put in the work and no one can take that from me. I'm not ms fitness just a regular Jane but I honestly feel and look better now in my 40s and I have the gym to thank for that
