So she dropped her defenses and her towel. Until the day she met another American woman she knew socially, as well. That was a bridge too far and she returned to her US modesty. "It was that or change gyms."
I do not find it liberating because I just don't even really think about it. I only think about it when I see people act unreasonably prudish.

Mostly older ladies (I guess they DGAF) and Asians are the other naked ones in my locker room at the gym.

On the other extreme I noticed there are mostly older people at the sauna at public pools in Germany. And they seem to have to always bend over before they go in or out. Without towels.

I love swimming naked, and have no qualms about being naked in saunas and such. I don't even get why locker rooms are a question, it's where you change clothes. It's not like I'm going to do yoga naked in the locker room.

I'm thinking back to my first time in the Korean baths, and I got a salt scrub. The guests are all naked, the ladies who do your salt scrub are all but naked, and they wrench your legs up in the air while your buck naked.... it was quite disconcerting the first time.

I get naked in the gym locker room just long enough to wrap a towel around my waist, or when getting dressed after my shower. Usually I'm facing the lockers, not other guys. I don't look at anyone else when I'm in the locker room, nor in the work-out area. I'm in the zone, doing my own thing. I don't even like it when someone wants to talk to me; it's my "me time" and I just want to do my work, clean up, & get out of there. Definitely not interested in checking out anyone else. If anyone's looking at me, I feel bad for them; I'm overweight and need to trim down around the waist, for sure. I'm not eye candy
