I use something called Pure and Natural. Its all oils and there are no chemicals. Dove bought the company that makes it and I have to buy it off Amazon, but its the ONLY thing that doesn't make me itch. Dove claims their version is the same but it has preservatives.
It works nice for hair too if it was easier to buy.
I don't think its the soap or the natural ingredience in so many things which are a problem, but all the chemicals that go in them too.
I switched from regular hair color to henna and absolutely love the difference.
Both. Body wash smells nice and gives a nice lather, but it also has the tendency to irritate my skin, so I'll alternate it with a superfatted or castile soap, or use soap exclusively when I'm feeling itchy.
No it isn't. You assume that it is nasty. But it's not actually nasty. No one who knows me has any idea until I tell them. Then they are shocked.
Yes. Once a week, I take a hot shower to rinse off. Then I soak in a hot tub and exfoliate getting off the dead skin cells. Then I take another shower to rinse off again.
Full disclosure, I will take 1 or 2 quick (like 30 seconds quick) showers during the week because I am active, go to the gym, run, do yoga, hike, ride my bicycle, etc. But I don't use soap or a washcloth. Just a quick rinse.
No soaps needed and my skin is cleaner and healthier than yours.
These are great hygiene habits - for 1850.
My skin is clean and healthy. (I take two showers and one bath A DAY. A morning shower, a shower after my lunchtime workout, and an evening bath.)
I wonder how many chicks would feel comfortable having all sorts of fun in the sack with dude who bathes once a week.
I notice you didn't call out this statement though the poster doesn't know me...
They gave their opinion on a habit you described, they didn't claim they were healthier or cleaner than you or anyone.
In my opinion, one bath a week is extreme but I also think people who feel unclean if they go 12 hours without bathing are kidding themselves. And as to the question, I prefer shower gel and my loofah. Bars of soap feel inefficient to me.
depends on time of year. during summer I like bar soap and feel cleaner after a lot of suds. during the winter I use mild body wash. always shower. haven't had a bath in 20+ years.
Bar, body wash is terrible for the environment, people don't need to waste that many plastic bottle and all that oil energy needed to make a stupid freakin bottle when a bar of soap will do the same thing.
