On FB a lot of my overweight friends were posting a meme awhile ago that said "Real Women Have Curves." It had a photo of that famous plus-size model next to a picture of a clearly anorexic, skeletal woman in a bikini. As a life-long slender person (59 now) who has had her share of mean comments directed toward her for her slight build, it really annoys me. (At least I have a fair-sized chest on me, so I'm not stick-like, but I have very long, narrow bones.) I AM a "real woman." I gave birth and nursed a baby. How much more do I have to do before I'm considered a "real woman"?

I do have a large chest though and the best way to describe me is an upside down guitar. I will state though when I am thinner I am treated differently than when I am heavier.
Chrisitna Hendricks is not "chubby" in those pics - I don't think it's a right word to describe her.

This is chubby;

...and this is chubby...

because...
well...
This is a CHUB

And that's a good thing!
May be, but I don't see her losing 20 pounds.
Women with her kind of build usually have tendency to gain weight, not to lose it)))

It's just one of those shaming tactics that fat women like to use.

The comedienne Monique is a high-profile offender in this regard. I bet she would never sign to be a spokesperson for one of those weight loss programs, because she's crowed about being beautiful in her obesity for so loud and so long, it would just make her look like a hypocrite. She calls slender women (her fellow females, mind you! ) Skinny b****tches and they are not to be trusted. Wow, way to be a "sister" Monique. If a man could get past the obesity, do you think he wants to be bothered with jealous, insecure, hateful and petty?

All woman are considered real woman..It depends on if a man is a real man or not. Real men love woman and see beauty in all of them...Men that are less than men really only see beauty in what they are told is beautiful.

All adult men and women are entitled to their preferences of what they consider "beautiful" or "real"

Without the cone bra, hardcore girdle and photshopping in the Esquire shoot, Christina Hendricks is similar to your chubby pics.

Oh no. A fat chick doesn't know her place and somewhere a skinny woman isn't being put on a pedestal and worshipped. It's time for action.

She is absolutely stunning, with or without the 'shapewear'...though I may be a bit biased
