I was reading your comments and thought I would post my normal foot wear situation.
When I come home from work I take off my shoes at the door before I enter. I work in a hospital and you never know what you may have stepped on. LOL The work shoes end up in the garage. Once I am in, no shoes at all. If I go out in the yard, no shoes or flip flops most of the time. As soon as I change after work I will keep the feet naked unless I am going out somewhere. Most of the time I toss on my flip flops including when I am driving. I hate to drive with shoes and the flip flops can easily come off in the car.
In the summer, I wear sandals or flip flops to work. At home, I am barefoot in the house. I will also walk barefoot in the yard, my driveway, and the street in front of my house. I always wear tennis shoes for my walks. But they come off as soon as I walk in the door.
For the first summer in years, I am not polishing my toes. I just don't have the time to put into them this summer (or rather, I don't want to make the time ). If someone is offended my by unpolished toes, they don't have to look at them!
I am all about dressing for MY comfort, and I prefer the comfort of flip flops and sandals in the summer.
OT but I noticed some young males in downtown Seattle are wearing skirts! I know it is none of my business what someone is wearing but really, I am personally a little uncomfortable seeing this trend (if it is one). Also, a burly, hairy guy in women's high heels, ankle socks, a regular business shirt and briefcase - after these spectacles, seeing a guy in sandals and flip flops would be a relief.
When I'm not working or working out, I wear flip flops from late April until late September. Obviously there are some days when it might be too cold or wet for that, but you get the idea.
Not a fan of feet and don't like flip flops on men or women. Sorry. Sure, some women have nice looking feet but others...not so much. And men almost always have ugly feet.

Good thing no one needs your permission to wear flip flops!
