Clothing is not an easy gift. Jewelry from stores on Etsy might be a good option.
But I always have fun spending time with either or both of my sons. I'd vote for lunch &/or going to see the new exhibit of whatever you think she'd enjoy.
I am an older mom too and I would never wear one of those. Just not a style I would choose. Sort of old and matronly look . I have never figured out why anyone would buy one at the store I work. To tell the truth most people don't till they are clearanced at 90% off and then it takes forever to get them sold. Is it an up North look in the cities?
That’s interesting. To each his own, I guess. To me, they look chic, not matronly. Most women I know have several colorful wraps like this. They are perfect in a chilly restaurant or just to add a splash of color.
Looks like it is a spring product, so it may not go on sale until at least June. Since this product is Dillard's exclusive, that also probably adds to the price.
The better question is, does she want clothes? It's not the right forum for it, but most moms would rather spend time with their kids than to get a polo shirt they'll never wear. Take her to brunch or to a movie or something she'd like to do.
I haven't read anything that indicates that because someone is obsessed w/a particular piece of clothing (polo shirts) and/or a color - that everyone they know is as well.

For your Mother? How old is she? But then, you said she was eyeing it....

Thanks for sharing the picture. You're right - I doubt it will go on sale prior to Mother's Day. Too bad - but still, maybe you can keep your eye on it, just in case. I also think it's cute that it's pink - considering what I know about you!
You sound like a wonderful and very thoughtful son. I hope you're able to find your mother the perfect gift for Mother's Day.
That is a cute dress. I don’t know how old your mother is, or what kind of figure she has, but that dress is not for everyone. I’d like it on my 20 year old granddaughter, or my 30 year old DIL.
