While I already bought the Macy's gift card, I decided to go Mother's Day shopping with my father today and I showed the dress to him at Dillard's. He wasn't much of a fan of it. He chose something else at Macy's.
I know that you've already done your shopping, but if your mother likes vibrant dresses, sometimes with a shorter hem, which she might given the Dillard's dress she was considering, I'd look at Lilly Pulitzer in the future. However, I know Lilly Pulitzer stores are few and far between in the West, although I recall one in Phoenix at The Biltmore, but that's a distance. There are also a couple in San Diego, but the company does have an online presence, and it might make for a unique gift for her.

So he chose something HE likes vs. a gift SHE liked.
I hope she's still getting the gift card so that she can buy what SHE wants. At least she's getting the lunch.
Yes, she still will be getting the gift card. What my father bought is a separate gift.
