As mentioned up thread, I think many people associate demeanor and other characteristics, rather than strictly physical appearance. I had an elderly women in my building say I look like her Doctor with the Cleveland Clinic a few years ago. So I look him up, and other than having short hair and looking like he was balding there was no resemblance. He had very different facial bone structure.
Another funny one is a partner organization my employer works with has an executive, whom, whenever we are attending common events, I get someone calling me his name. We have a sort of resemblance (he's a few years older, bald on top and buzzed gray hair - so we now jokingly refer to each other as brother.
For more fun, an opposite sex celeb look alike for me would be a mix of Stana Katic (Castle) 60% and Lyndsy Fonseca (40%) - since I was thinking of that cult classic Dr Jekyll and Sister Hyde on Halloween.
I am always told I look like the girl from Saturday Night Fever who danced with John Travolta. I don't even remember her name but I've been told that more times than I can remember.
