I don't really have any fashion pet peeves but if I did it would be bare legs in skirts/dresses during the colder winter months. In the summertime of course it's acceptable.
Muffin tops.
White pants on heavy women.
Visible zippers in back of dresses, which I've noticed a lot on TV.
Plaid.
Batwing tops, which I've noticed a couple of times. Are those actually coming back???
I like flares but never bell-bottoms even in the 60's.
Old people, like me, who think a lot of makeup…eyes, lips, eyebrows, blush…will make them look more youthful when it actually makes them look older and even clownish in some some cases.
I think my new pet peeve is - Not realizing when a certain look is done. Women are instinctively better at this than men btw.
I just attended a conference where at least 1/3 of the guys wore the exact same intense blue suit with brown/tan shoes. Typically with either a white or graph paper plaid shirt, just like the department store mannequins suggested.
Not saying this a bad look btw but when something becomes too common, it starts to look more like a uniform than a wardrobe selection.

Interesting you brought this up-
men experience fashion anxiety in the weirdest ways.

I think we need more lighting and we don’t see very well either. Ive noticed that when I look in the car mirror in daylight, I see a few things I didn’t notice in the bathroom.
