To me they always looked like the kind of thing that I'd lounge around the house in on weekends or something, but to wear them in public seems a bit ridiculous, especially the ones with the dropped crotch--what's up with those???

I have to assume that the people who decide what will in fashion were either not alive or were on a great deal of drugs in the 80's if they think the hammer harem pants should make a comeback. I was there and I remember and there is no reason in hell they should ever been seen from again. The 80's were fun but some stuff should stay there.

They come in handy for those times when you aint gonna make it to the bathroom - they have extra room to catch anything that needs to be caught.

Haha, or if mother nature comes calling unexpectedly and you're forced to use one of those horrible, giant bulky jumbo-pads out of the dispenser in the ladies bathroom.

I really don't like 80s fashion and I'm pretty tired of 80s music, too.

Hahaha.

Another trend I will "pass" on.

Sorry, but gotta disagree there. Hate the clothes, still love the tunes!

Heh, looks like there isn't anybody that hasn't done a remake of that song.
My kids get a little annoyed whenever I point out to them that the great "new" song they're listening to is just a rehash of a song that was around when I was their age.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Vive l'eighties!

I was just listening to a show on Sirius yesterday that was about remakes. They played Careless Whisper, which was originally done by Wham!, but by Seether, and Blondie's 'Call Me' but by some band I think called In The Moment, or something like that. I love my 80's music - that's the stuff that brings back all those happy, carefree Jr High, High School, and College memories!
