Btw, didn't some hotel rooms also have security cameras?

Yep! This is a pricey hotel, though, and I'd imagine that they are trying to lock down those tapes for "privacy" reasons. I'm hoping that someone will leak them, though While there aren't any cameras in the guest rooms themselves, at the very least Gillum was almost certainly captured on camera under the influence walking in the lobby/in the hallways.

No camera footage required-Gillum checked into rehab today. Good Lord, did we ever dodge a bullet (for many many reasons)!

One of the naked men in the room (Travis Dyson) is apparently a gay male escort.

Note, Dyson's sexuality is only an issue here because it would further erode Gillum's excuse for being in the room.
If he is gay, it would be ironic in a place like Miami or Tallahassee. I went to FSU-Miami games in basketball (Coral Gables) and football (Miami Gardens). As a guy, I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the college women from both FSU and Miami (the U). He must be really gay if he finds those beautiful women uninteresting. Go figure.

I saw that tweet who mentionned then Andrew Gillum had entered rehab.

I wonder if that guy who tweeted that post might be right on target?

Glad to see that he's getting help, albeit possibly for the wrong substance.

I am still scratching my head why Gillum was allowed to just walk away. Unless someone cops to ownership of the drugs (the gay escort was passed out and not able to do so, and I doubt that the third guy copped to owning the meth either), the police generally treat the drugs as belonging to everyone on the scene. But the fact that numerous police captains were on the scene tells me that Gillum got special attention.

Of course, in MSM article after MSM article, most still refuse to talk about the fact that Dyson is a gay escort. Had this been a Republican, that's all they would be talking about.

good grief....if he can't handle the pressure of losing....how was he going to handle the pressure of being governor?

..and his "we've been 'friends' for a while" (code for customer) didn't even know why he was in Miami....wedding???
a wedding his wife didn't go to...yeah, right?

Yes, reporters who want to get to the bottom of this would be following up on things like that. Who got married? Where was the ceremony/reception, and when? Was the wedding anytime close to when he ended up wasted, in a trashed hotel room with a male hooker or two? Weddings are usually photographed, and if you have a minor celebrity in attendance, photos/videos would be taken. This would provide some evidence of his attendance and/or alibi, as well as his condition at said event. Might they see the other two men among the crowd at this event? But the reporters have to WANT to find out the truth and report it for this to happen.

The cops say they "sent him home" rather than arresting him, but they don't say if "home" is in Miami or where else. If he was too out of it to answer basic questions, wouldn't the cops be unable to discern where "home" was, much less how he would be able to find his way "home"? Do cops just let people in that kind of state just wander off? (My guess is they gave him a ride to where he was staying, but didn't want to admit they were helping him get away from the scene)

I definitely believe that if this were a Republican, no stone would have been unturned in the media's investigations. There would be updates every hour crawling across the bottom of the screen providing every sordid detail. But as others have said, we see major details omitted from the story as it is mentioned, and the reporting lacks the usual, logical follow-up that comes when the media outlet wants to report on it.
