Alpine's Swiss Style hotdogs.

My Favorite combo:
Deep fried on mini baguette cut to length with
Inglehoffer stone ground mustard
topped with homemade sauerkraut

I like the hot dog with a bun, warmed with mustard, chopped onions and pickle relish. I might sprinkle on a little sharp cheddar cheese...shredded.

Love sauerkraut, so wouldn't be opposed to it instead of chili!

At home, fried onions , and mustard ( American mustard most of the time thoguh sometimes I want more of a kick and go for Dijon) . I like the buns lightly toasted with a little mayo spread on it. Cheese can be nice if properly melted.

I have had with sauerkraut before in the US and absolutely loved it ( a pain to eat gracefully though...). Chili drowns the taste of the Wiener IMO. I loathe, loathe, loathe corn-dogs. A culinary crime .

Mustard and relish..sometimes a little onion. Someone further back in the thread puts baked beans on them, and I've done that before. It's good.

Usually mustard, onion, and hot sauce.

I do like chili, cheese, jalapeno, and slaw from time to time.

Hebrew National All Beef Hot Dogs

Honey toasted roll, sauerkraut on the bottom of the roll, raw onions, spicey brown mustard & sweet pickle relish.

Now I know what we are having for dinner---with Bush's baked beans.

New England-style bun, lightly toasted in the pan with the dog. Add sauerkraut, chopped raw onion, Herlocher's Sweet and Rough mustard, just a tick of catsup.

If there's no sauerkraut, add some green relish along with all of the above.

Growing up, we had a snack shack along the Delaware River in Bucks County and we made a deep-fried dog with mustard. That's it. No other accoutrements. They were a favorite of the boaters who stopped for a bite.
