Default The Agenda: May 15 - 21

This week's dinner selections will first consist of leftover eye of round roast slices (which will finally have real sides), mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, brown-and-serve rolls, and newly-made brown gravy with minced onions and mushrooms. Yes, the diet is over. Also ahead are balsamic chicken, shrimp scampi, chicken pot pie, and then dinner out with my mother at Olive Garden (not sure yet what dish).

Have a nice week with your dinner plans, and bon appetit!

Last night we were invited to a neighbor's 50th birthday party. We had grilled chicken breasts which he grilled perfectly I must say - green beans, baked beans, hamburgers, a platter of cookies from Zaxby's (I didn't even know they had cookies - and they were better than any I have bought in a bakery, REALLY!), and a cookie cake.

Which means tonight we will be having what I was cooking for last night - pork tenderloin, field peas and snaps, green beans, mashed potatoes, rice and corn casserole, cornbread.

With 3 grandkids here this last week--10 months, 2 years and 8 years we have been eating foods they enjoy and easy to make and clean up--chicken nuggets, spaghetti, mac and cheese, hamburgers-- you get the picture! The GK went home last night and tonight DH is taking me to a well deserved dinner out! Tomorrow night we will once again be back to normal whatever normal is.
