Kiwis. All those gritty little seeds. I don't like the texture of the core, either. They're pretty and I want to like them, but bleh.

Raspberries. I don't like their flabby texture, and the flavor is merely OK. Blackberries are terribly seedy but I enjoy the flavor enough that I overlook the seeds. Raspberry flavor is mediocre at best, so if I have to have the actual berry too? Pass.

Oh, another one. I enjoy banana flavor (smoothie, perhaps something with alcohol), but I dislike eating bananas. Sliced, maybe. Eaten immediately. My husband peels and eats them. Gross.

Edited: I should have read the entire thread before responding, because I want to say something else but don't want to post again. Isn't it funny how one person will love something and another person will just hate it? I love melons and peaches. I love their sweet squishiness (not too squishy, though). And some of you are just picturing the squishiness and getting all yucked out. Maybe some of those people will think bananas or raspberries are just the greatest. I can see why one person would dislike something more complex, like meat cooked a particular way, or meat at all, or the way something is seasoned. But fruit is just fruit--it's so basic. Why don't people like the same things on such a basic level? I find that fascinating.

Oh yeah...I don't like fresh raspberries.

Can't think of any edible fresh fruit I don't like. Raisins in cereal or anything where they look like cockroaches sort of slows me down but I like the taste.

Regarding bananas, I like them so ripe the peel becomes thin and dark spots start to appear.

I don't care for much fruit other than grapes, nectarines, cherries, and apricots. I really dislike pears because of the texture. I would eat veggies over fruit any day.

I can't think of any food that has to be coated with as much seasoning as the amount of sugar people put on grapefruit .

When I eat fruit I usually use sugar on all of it. Especially strawberries. Strawberries are not sweet unless they are super ripe, which they NEVER are at the store. I didn't realize they were sweet until I actually grew a few. The ones I grew were the only strawberries I have ever eaten that didn't need sugar.

Oh, I forgot. I love pomegranates, but lordie, they are tedious to eat.

I"m not a big fan of papaya either. It's sort of flavorless. Pretty much like all the others though I have a limit on how much orange or grapefruit I want to eat.
