I don't like cantelope. Not crazy about black berries, plums, and avocados. I like most fruits though. I never really liked bananas before but they add a nice flavor to my green smoothie.
I like grapefruit, but I can't eat it because of the Vytorin that I take.
I don't care for kiwi. I used to put them in fruit salad all the time. But, the ones that are sold in the stores now are a little smaller and grainy - and the flavor just isn't there.
Kiwi, too slimy. Mangoes, slimy, and the seed is too big. Grapefruit, too sour. Grapes with those big seeds...
I love Mangoes, but they are a pain because of the huge seeds. It almost doesn't seem worth botherindg. As for Kiwi, if they are not too ripe they are great in fruit salad. I don't think I have had a grape with a seed for years, although I am not a huge fan of them.
Of the more common fruits in the USA, mango is my least favorite - it tastes musky to me. If it's pureed with other fruit in yogurt or a smoothie I can handle it, though.
Besides that, I can't stand red/yellow delicious apples (but like other apples), and don't like kiwi. Raspberries are ok fresh but I can't stand candied and other versions of that fruit - blech, hate when people ruin chocolate desserts with raspberry flavor!

Really? As long as it isn't overdone I get a kick out of some of the clever gross comments people make about food - I like having the "ewwww" response
The only fruit I can think of that I will not eat at all is grapefruit, because it's so sour. There are plenty that I can tolerate but do not love. I do not see the thrill of pears, for example, yet there are so many candles and body products made with that scent that I figure it must be me.
I agree with you about the red/yellow delicious apples. I always thought when I was growing up that I didn't like apples because the only varieties my mom would buy were red or yellow delicious.
I realized I liked apples when I had a Granny Smith for the first time. Wow! Then I started trying all the different varieties I could find. Now I love to serve many kinds of apples sliced, on a platter, just so everyone can sample them. But no red or yellow delicious, ever!

I had forgotten about apples. We only eat the tart ones that are firm, like Granny Smith (Pipin is similar) jonathans, winesaps, etc. The large delicious or anything like that can be very pethy (or whatever that word is)
