Tonight is "Lemon Chicken Ginger Soup with Cilantro."

Seems pretty easy to make and sounds good.

Chicken nuggets tonight.
I would like to try my rotissurie again tomorrow. My husband suggested a ham.

No cooking for me today. I left work early to get home to the kids so DH could get going to the Ray's game and tailgate.

So, I took the girls to the mall looking for sneakers and to visit Julianna's Fun Shop (Hello Kitty and Webkinz galore) and we had Chinese at the food court. I had the General Tso chicken combo plate with fried rice and broccoli/carrots/squash mix. My 6 yr old had the bbq chicken, two crab rangoons and an eggroll.

The swiss steak turned out pretty good last night. I decided to cook it on top of the stove and cooked it for about 1 1/2 hours covered in fresh cut tomatoes, onions, fresh garlic and green peppers. Instead of using just water I covered it with a bit of V8 juice plus a little water. It stewed right down to a lovely thick sauce and the meat was fork tender--yum!
Good to hear everyone is doing well!
Weather is good for a BBQ so maybe I can talk hubby into some steaks tonight. We'll see...he just got up so I'll give him a little time to open his eyes--Ha!

Cyn, I used V-8 the other night when I made meat loaf.....I didnt have any tomato sauce and I didnt want it to dry out so toward the end i added one of the small cans of v-8 poured some over it and the rest in the baking pan--I was pleased with it as a cooking sauce too.

Morning all-I love V8-it's my craving blocker!!!!

Being we have a showing later we're picking up a Papa Murphy's take n bake pizza. I do have a turkey breast - maybe I should roast that and fill the house w/Thanksgiving smells?????

Say how tough is our NMS that she posted already on HappyHour!

I always keep a little V8 on hand. I not only enjoy a little just to drink now and again but I also use it in my goulash, meatloaf and now my swiss steak. See...I am trying new things! Ha! I'm getting adventurous!!

Son has football today at 5 so not sure what we will have after we get home. Maybe some canned soup or something easy to put together.

Hope everyone has a great day.
