Morning all!! Yesterday on Father's Day , since we are moving we decided
to hit a bunch of the tourist T-shirt stores along the beach and buy t- shirts, sweat shirts and hats featuring the various Florida sayings and places. It was a blast and we finished the day at Cheese Burger in Paradise. ( a new place owned by Jimmy Buffett) It was a lot of fun ( and more expensive than I planned !! LOL) Tonight will be steaks on the grill with oven roasted parmesian potatoes and salad.

Like every day, spaghetti with grated chesse and marmite sauce and a slice of ham and a fruit or ice cream for dessert, maybe a slice of cantaloupe as an appetizer.
I don't enjoy cooking too much.

You could substitute the turkey in the 7 layer casserole I make a lot of.

Heat oven to 350

In casserole dish with lid put:

1 c uncooked rice
1 c veggies (I usually use the frozen mixed, but you could use whatever)
pour 1 8 oz can of tomato sauce over it
pour 1/2 can of water over that
season w/salt and pepper
put 1 lb hambuger meat (uncooked) over that
1/2 cup each onions and green peppers (or another layer of veggies)
pour another 8 oz can of tomato sauce over that
pour another 1/4 can of water over that
sprinkle the top with bacon bits or 4 slices of bacon cut in half
cover and cook for an hour
uncover and cook for 1/2 hour

Thanks for those ground turkey recipes! They all sound good and may just end up on a dinner plate!

We just had a luncheon here at work for someone who is leaving and moving to Southern California. There was so much food leftover that everybody got to make doggy plates to take home for dinner.
