Cyn and Kelsie-yes these guys just don't get it. Our place has mediocre food but he keeps coming out with new menus-nothing new - just the prices! We basically go for the company. That's why we've cut back to once a week. Give me my (or anyone's) home cooking anyday.

Oh tonight-farfalle (bow ties) with sausage/peppers/onions/garlic. Salad and garlic bread.

I`m going to try a salisbury steak recipe with brown gravy, mashed potatoes, peas, and hot rolls.

G'mornin', all. DH left for his weekly trek to Barnes and Nobel, so I'm here with my cup of coffee and slice of home made banana bread. Sounds like a plan, huh?

Not sure what's for dinner tonight. Maybe scallops.

Hubby's on a squash binge lately. I like squash, but I'm getting tired of the same old, same old. Any unique ideas for butternut? Thanks.

I think of maple sugar, apples, onion, butter, maybe curry, crunch topping and mashed, or cubed, or baked or boiled....I am not sure you can go wrong. Thats as close as i get to a recipe.

NMS-soup, butternut squash soup is so good.

Also on the frozen bags of "Southdown" butternut there is a casserole recipe-my daughter used to beg for it. It had StoveTop in and on it.

Elston, I found a recipe for baked squash and apples that sounds a bit like what you're talking about. I may try that.

Lacey, this is a fresh squash, so no wrapper, darn it! But that sounds good, too.

Hubby offered to BBQ pork chops tonight!! Yes! The skies have finally cleared and it's suppose to be in the low 80's....can't beat that! We'll have stewed apples, baked sweet potatoes and yellow neck squash (done on th BBQ elston style). If it warms up enough maybe I'll do a major clean out of the doggie house today--get it ready for winter. Maybe a major clean up of the doggie too! Ha!

This is one of my favorite meals! Yum! Ham and scalloped potatoes. Now that's comfort food at its best!
