Speaking of eggplant, I like it lightly coated with cornmeal and sauteed in evoo. Nothing special. It's on the list of good fiber foods for lowering the bad cholesterol if I remember correctly.

All we are having is the last slices of the chocolate pie. No argument out of me. It's cold and I'm hot so it works just fine.

Does anyone else have the problem of deciding what to fix a day after going to the grocery store? Between the store and Sam's, we spent over $400 yesterday and I have no idea what to cook. Maybe I just have too much and hate making a decision and my DH doesn't help either, "just pick something", but I have to hear him fuss when it wasn't the right "pick"!

We had clean out the fridge night looks like a few others did here as well.

I just quickly scanned today's posts don't remember who asked about the deep fryer. I had the Presto kettle one described and hated it because when you bring the basket up to drain the oil would run down the outside onto the counter. So I returned it we had the Tefal one that the lid closed and had the filter system until it died I liked most of it. The Tefal had a break way cord and I absolutely hated that about it. I really want one in the rectangular shape like a smaller restaurant version so it takes up less space. I have been looking for awhile now I don't like the "break away" cords on all these newer ones so haven't bought a new one yet.

Well, after a busy, productive day doing research at the library:

Chicken teriyaki, rice, spring rolls.

Happy eating, all.

Tonight is frozen store brand pizza. At least it was a great price! I will add a few fresh 'schrooms and some cheddar cheese.

Wow, we're almost up to 15,000! I don't think I've ever been in a message forum with that many messages! What a great group though. So friendly, warm and helpful. Love the fact that I'm "talking" to people from far away, different countries, yet we've all got something in common - we enjoy food! And you sure get that vibe from this group. Love, love, love food!

Was trying to catch up with all the messages since I posted yesterday. Moves fast! And got some great ideas along the way.

For us tonight: turkey chili.

Simple but tasty. I'll put corn and diced red peppers in it too. A dollop of light sour cream and chopped cilantro on top. Goes well with an ice-cold Corona with a sliver of lime (from our tree).
