Well I see I missed the 15k mark... The weather here (rain, wind, cold) has been playing hobb with my neck and back for the last couple of days so I've not been cooking much except leftovers.
Never did cook the steaks from 2 days ago but today it has to be done so I guess I'll throw in a couple of sweet potatoes as well since the rain is supposed to let up today.
Have a good morning everyone!!!!!!
Oh, the black friday ads are starting to come out on the 'net and there's some decent deals on cooking stuff like mini fryers in a couple of the ads.

I'm thinking pork chops seasoned with lemon pepper, mashed potatos and green beans.

Yesterday I cooked two pasta variations:

1. mushrooms in thin slices fried in some oil
add some prawns
add a lot of garlic in very small cubes
cream sauce with herbs and some lemon juice

This was for hubby.

I also took some of the pasta and put it with some tomatoe cream sauce into small oven dishes and baked it with some grated cheese.
Still have one of these oven dishes for tonight and prawn sauce for DH.

In honor of your milestone....
Can everyone write one thing they've learned, or one recipe that has become a standard in their house because of cynwldkat's thread?

I'll start: Cube Steak Italiano

The only recipe that I followed to the letter was Amber's Gram's Cheesecake and it was delicious! I come to the thread more for the inspiration and the food related chat and out of curiousity to find out what others are eating. Like catching a look into someones living room as you walk past the house.....cozy and warm looking......I like that lamp......or oh, I would hate those curtains..lol....thats why I like to know what others are eating and what their tricks of the trade are.....I may never make a 7 layer casserole....but I enjoy reading about it.

The above does not mean I am not influenced....I definately am.....and my cooking takes on some of the tricks I read here.......for example last night I made a horseradish, garlic and lime marinade for my swordfish.....would never have done that without having read someone elses husbands recipe...it was delicious.

Bon Appetite

Gee gentlearts, I have so many things I have learned, tried and continue to use from what I have learned up here I don't know where to begin. I suppose the one recipe I use the most often is laceys onion chicken.

Ah, you see elston...you just need someone to plant the seed and you make it grow! Now for me....I need the seed planted and step by step instructions to make it grow! Ha!
