Good afternoon all, haven't been here in ages! I am making flounder tonight, not sure how I am cooking it yet. Will probably make a salad of some sorts and should have a veggie but am leaning towards some sort of carb! Have a great day all!
Good morning/ afternoon I have a bit of shopping to do for food tomorrow. Chili, crusty bread, olive paste, brusetta, baguettes, some sort of piggie in a blanket, chips, dip and drinks. Anymore ideas send'em my way. Off to clean (me and my coffee muwhahahah) hehe hehe
I am proud of those who are loseing the weight. I will support those who are trying. Same goes for those quitting bad habbits such as smokeing. 22 days mom I am proud. Good bye 2008 hello 2009.
Cyn: lol I was going to run out to Sam's and pick you up some and mail it to you, I agree with burdell, until that broc. goes down under $100 stick with a good fillet and red wine.
Lisa, I buy 6 tri-color peppers at Sam's for $6.00, they make a much sweeter stuffed cabbage, and I think Stouffer's does use either soup or maybe ketchup to make it sweeter.
Lacey, congratulations you are doing a great job and you too Cyn.
skbs, that would be me, delegate and lots of rest.
Kelsie-all I do is dry the scallops, season with lemon pepper, dredge in flour and pan sear in olive oil for 3-4 min each side. Make some oil/garlic/red pepper flakes in sall fry pan and pour that over pasta!

I'll check back later.
I think scallops are very good wrapped with bacon or prosciutto and pan-seared, nice contrast of sweet and salty. Maybe accompany with a peas/caramelized onion risotto?
I have never had scallops and the more I read about them the more I want to try them. They are pretty expensive aren't they? We are really trying to cut back this year as things are getting harder with business. Hope it changes soon but I am not holding my breath. Meantime I guess I'll stick to affordable dinners and great sales!! We do eat very well and that is not a place we cut back but I'm also not going to go out and buy the most expensive item in the store if I can help it!! I think younglisa started a great new thread about inexpensive meals here. I just came back from there!
When I clicked the 'v' to catch up (Jaxson) there were still about three pages from where I left off last night until about 6 am my time...then there more....busy, busy place....
MWBW...when I hear your schedule, don't miss that so much anymore!!!
I got broccoli and cauliflower a few weeks ago at .88/lb, so I froze after blanching quickly and dunking in cold water...I took out a pkg that didn't do so well in the seal-a-meal thingee and microwaved last nite, the color was gorgeous!!! I do the same with peppers, etc., when on sale as produce here can be ridiculous and I so prefer the fresh..The frozen at the warehouse store is pretty decent though in big bags and are resealable, so that is our normal route...$150...wow!!!
VP..maybe add a little chicken or beef to your salad and make it more a meal...we love 'mega' salad, when try to grill some meat and cut to put in the salad full of vegies and add a little pasta...
I have a turkey (since were cheap here) thawing and will do tomorrow for leftovers and to freeze so ready to use, but tonight I think we will do a beef stirfry with lots of veggies along with some rice...
