Tonight I will attempt to make pork green chile for the first time. We get to be the guinea pigs and I will bring the rest to my work's chili cook-off tomorrow! Hope it turns out!!
Please tell us how it turned out and how you did it??!! Sounds so good!
These are some interesting sounding items and dishes. I haven't a clue what they are about or like. Please tell us!!
Nasi is a spicy rice dish
Bami is a spicy noodle dish (kind of like lo mein)
Kip is chicken in Dutch. It is basically marinated chicken (or also pork) grilled on skewers and then served with a peanut sauce.
gado gado is a a salad with cabbage or lettuce, hard boiled eggs, sprouts, etc. and served with peanut sauce..... sounds weird but recipezaar (sp?) also has some recipes for it....
I posted about a tempeh recipe in the vegetarian thread too. That is really delicious......
I am gonna be a bad cook for the next few days.... take-out and frozen again! I am redoing DD room this weekend, so am not going to have the energy to cook.
Fish tonight...baked. I'll make some french fries and a side of a jello dish I put together today trying to use up some fresh fruit before it bit the dust!! Know it probably doesn't really go with the fish but I am not going to let the fruit go to waste--just costs to much!! I also made my favorite......dill tarter sauce. YUMMY! It has to be the best tarter sauce around! I am still unpacking from our move across country and I came across my old family recipes. They look so good to me now. Before I just thought, UGH, who wants to do all of that??!! Guess since I don't have much else to worry about I can try some of these redipes again!!
