Neither did we! We took the buses & trains, and we went everywhere! I remember one time when my mom HAD TO ORDER NEW WALLPAPER. We took the bus into Jamaica, but then were hit by a major snowstorm. Bus & train service was suspended. We walked, and finally cabbed it back home to Woodhaven. And, of course, I didn't wear my galoshes so my tootsies were frozen!

I need to shop and get inspiration for tonight-my head (and stomach) wants a nice juicy cheeseburger but the weather says no.

If you have hamburger meat you need to use, but the weather's not cooperating, then how about tacos?

What about doing it on the stove? Sometimes the stove top makes it a nice greasy burger by pan frying it... dripping with grease... a good comfort burger... with dripping cheese...nice for windy cold days Living in Snow Country for 2/3 of the year this is how we have to do it for the majority of the time... I don't venture out to the grill...LOL...

Well one easy and tasty way out is to scramble the ground beef, onions, and some cubes of potatoes. When done melt down some of the that $2.99 Velveeta over them and that's almost a cheeseburger missing the bun and fries but not the potatoes. Just a thought. That may be what I wind up with. Still not giving it much thought at the moment.

Maybe so but I didn't get a commission check from Kraft. Not even a thank you. I still love it though.

The BF and I are going to look at some houses after work with our realtor friend. Then I think I am going to suggest Mexican (craving it) or going to our local Italian place where we still have the two-for-one entree coupon!

Yesterday we had cheeseburgers with sauted peppers (jalapeno and anaheim) and onions, fresh tomato. Potato salad, and pan sauted yellow squash with garlic, burst cherry tomatoes, and Italian herbs. Very yummy! Then I made zucchini bread and muffins....

Okay back from shopping and here it is!!!

Bottom round roast hubby's fave way. Seasoned, crm mushroom soup, Lipton's onion soup, carrots, sliced portabellas sealed tightly in alum foil and cooked for 4 hrs at 275. Garlic mashed for him, spinach salad for me.

Noma-just paid $1.99 for big Velveeta.

Highlands go for it! Italian or Mexican both sound great.
