Do you realize that white button mushrooms, Crimini mushrooms, and Portobello mushrooms are all the same mushroom at different stages of development?
Did not realize this. White button mushrooms are the same as portobello? Do you have a link?
When I was a kid, our family used to always do the wild mushroom thing. We would go for stump mushroooms in the woods, pasture mushrooms (exactly like the while buttons you buy in the store), horse mushrooms (just like the pastures but huge), and inky caps. I just can't see how crimini and Portobello can be the same as white buttons.
I made some popcorn shrimp - half served with cocktail sauce, the other half doused in buffalo sauce. Yum!
