I'm asking this because of the storm in the east that has people rushing to get food. The news telling them to have enough for a week or two. So, it looks as though a lot of people don't normally keep food in their house. There are three of us and I think we would be OK for longer than two weeks. And that's normal for me.

I have a chest freezer, so....months. I wouldn't be eating much other than meat after about 2-3 weeks, but....months. The dog and cats would also be sharing that meat with me. The biggest problem that I foresee would be the lack of cat litter....

Depends if you count dogs and cats as food.

I would have gone grocery shopping before the storm hit. . . there was plenty of forewarning. And living in an extreme weather area, winter is no surprise and I keep supplies on hand anyway.

However; if I was incapacitated and couldn't get out. . the food I currently have on hand would last me approximately two weeks.

I have four rabbits out my back garden and I like a nice stew. (No, I'd rather die of hunger than do that!).

As of today, about a week. It really depends on where in my grocery shopping cycle I am at the time of the weather event. I typically shop on Saturday morning for about a week's worth of food at a time, maybe a little more, so if the storm was predicted for Friday, I would run out quickly.

Really, this doesn't concern me much. I live on a snow route, so I'm plowed early, and snow removal is pretty darn good in my area. Plus, there are three well-stocked supermarkets within a few miles of my house, plus a Costco, Sam's Club, Target Superstore, and Walmart Superstore.

Now, when I lived out in the boondocks, I definitely kept more on hand.

2018. LOL

Well, maybe not, but at least a month or two. Two refrigerator freezers and a lot of home canning.

It might not be good food, but I could survive.

Probably, a week to 9 days. We have cases of freeze dried emergency food, for such purposes and contains food, for 2 people for 6 days each.

same here. I also have a 5lb tub of protein powder, and another 2-3 pounds from an open container, so that would help. But yeah, if we're warned ahead of time, I'd definitely stock up on necessities.
I just remembered I have lots of old fashioned and steel cut oats. I was only thinking about refrigerated/frozen food.

I could last 2 weeks. I might not eat what I want but I have enough food not to be hungry.
