[rave] I know many do not like (can't stand) liver.

But after a long day in my garage I wanted a treat.

Yellow onion sautéed in olive oil. Slightly caramelized.
Beef Liver shaken in a bag of waffle flour, sea salt and black pepper. Fried in that same oliver oil.

Ive done this before, but I hit the right balance this time. The seasoning was perfect and the liver was nice and crispy outside as if it had a skin.

I was so surprised at how good it was that I looked around for Chef Ramsey to come out and hand me a MasterChef apron.

One the side, a little white rice and steamed vegetables. Cauliflower, Broccoli Carrots (orange and yellow [or maybe it was a parsnip; it was in a bag]).

Man that was good.

[/rave]

I will never say no to liver and onions and mashed potatoes unless it has been very poorly prepared. Growing up we ate it at least once a week and nobody could believe that mother was able to get children to eat liver and onions. Mom was great in the kitchen...cooking, baking, and anything she didn't know she would find out or 'ad lib'. Mm-mm Good!

Yes, rave on!

Good stuff. Cheers. I was going to chop up a potato and fry it too (home fries)... but I figured that would be too much fried food, besides, I had the veggies on my mind.

Man! I just ate dinner and I'm hungry again.

I love liver and onions especially calf or fresh deer liver. My wife just won't cook it for me so I have to get it whenever we go out.

Reminds me that I have not had liver or kidney in years. May e since I was a child, and I'm 30 now.
