The weather decided to turn chilly today, with possible rain later so the idea of grilling is gone. WE are having lamb chops cooked in the air fryer, tomatoes filled with mashed potatoes and cream gravy and broccoli.
magicshark, everything looks wonderful. Was there a place setting for Blitzen? I think we will have a rack of lamb for Easter this year.
No place at the table for him but I'm tempted to next time!
Good luck getting through Lent!!!
Tonight I have a potluck dinner for Cub Scouts I have to attend. I was assigned a side dish. I had a hard time figuring out what to make that a group of mainly boys under 10 would like. I know my boys are outliers when it comes to what they will eat. Anywho I decided to make my homemade cream corn. It's rich and creamy and not exactly health food.
Last night we had some awesome, tender, pork chops. Our local Food Lion has good meat specials, so these 2 thick chops were $3.22.
I oven baked them with scalloped potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts.
SO requested Paprikageschnetzeltes (thinly sliced chicken in a creamy paprika sauce with tiny bits of red bell pepper), spaetzli (home made dumpling pasta), green salad. Comfort food for a grey windy day.
Still having leftovers from Wednesday, red beans and rice and coconut cream pie.
Happy Friday and 3-day weekend for some.
