We had a nice little storm last night and all day today. I think maybe 10 inches so far. We were supposed to get I thought 14" plus. My work and even husband's decided to call a snow day. We decided to spend the day making a large batch of red sauce and meatballs. The sauce still has a few hours to go. We will have some of that for dinner and some garlic bread too!
Picked up a nice pork sirloin roast at the store this morning and it’s brining now. There’s a Taste of Home recipe I’ve used before that calls for slow roasting in the oven at 225 degrees. If this one’s tough, I’m giving up on pork! . Black eyed peas and some yellow squash will round it out.
Cornish hens, baked potatoes and roasted asparagus.
